Hunter, you read my mind. What would family members asking you for help think when they see you donate a bag of rice to charity.
Unless you do not like the family and have told them no. That seems OK.
But if you are OK with the family, but pass them up to donateto charity. Get ready for trouble.
If you have enough, give to family you LIKE, then help strangers.
